There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become distinct from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in ṭāghūt and believes in Allāh has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And Allāh is Hearing and Knowing.
You are not alone

Converting to Islam: questions people ask
Do I have to be sure about everything first?
No one understands everything at the start. What makes a person Muslim is sincerely bearing witness to the shahada (Sahih al-Bukhari 128); the rest is learned over time.
Do I need to go to a mosque to become Muslim?
No. You can say the shahada anywhere, alone or with others (Sahih al-Bukhari 128 sets no condition of place). Many people say it at a mosque so that the community can welcome and help them.
Will I have to stop seeing my family?
No. Keeping good ties with family is part of Islam, whatever their faith: the Prophet ﷺ told Asma to keep good ties with her mother, who was not Muslim (Sahih al-Bukhari 2620).
